I put this one on here because I like to fill up CDs to the end, and because I really like it and it’s the kind of music that I will listen to 20 times a day for 6 months. I like it.
So, here’s the deal – there is a sound that occurs every 30 seconds throughout the entire 13:21.
It’s the same sound. This sound happens at
0:00
0:30
1:00
1:30
2:00
2:30
etc.
every 30 seconds until 13:00. So it’s like having 27 (or 26 or 28) columns laid out in an outdoor temple, and you can just go in there and swirl around the pillars and get invisible, then reappear and stuff like that. That’s the fun of a rigid, rational, predetermined structure. The structure has already been made. So now you can ignore the structure or use it. Use the columns to play hide and seek or to get the velocity to shoot off into the sky for a while. Melt down underneath the granite bases and find some worms.
The thing about it is, it uses clock time, which actually can be rather useful.
When I think about rollerbladers and skateboarders I feel that I am witnessing a celebration of architectural barriers.
Put up MORE barriers. I bet there's someone who is figuring out how to group and jump them right now. C'mon guys - don't you remember when you were a kid with extra energy? These kids are the athletes of the future. Put up the barriers. And let the kids have some fun.
I can see the post X-Games banner now:
"The Richmond Annual Celebration of Architectural Barriers"
Proudly sponsored by the Richmond Department of Economic Development and the Henrico Division of Parks, Trees and Poured Cement.
There are other ways of counting and there are other kinds of time. Anyone who has seen the History Channel is aware that Einstein made a pretty good postulatulation that clock time is malleable. But for our purposes , it’s just fine.
So, I’m writing CLOCK TIME and about ALL THIS OTHER STUFF

See? Clock time can be fun.
It sounds great, Pen. Who else is in the band?
I really wanna do a DUET with a metal drummer wh.o is focused and likes to rehearse hard, and/or a Zach Hill kind of player
Can you recommend someone? I have lots of music written for it already.
And I would also like to play piano once a week for about 2 hours in a place like Ipanemas. The place doesn't have to have a piano. I can bring a MIDI one.
And I really don't care what the hours I play are. 3 - 5 pm? 11pm - 1am?
10am to 12 noon? 3am to 5am?
All is fine. All will work. Once a week.
I have no way to close. See ya.
